What You’ll Do

Under the supervision of the Operations Team Lead, the Operations Associate is responsible for the day-to-day inbound and outbound operations which will include but not limited to the following: document management, unloading, labeling, building, pick, shipping, and general maintenance. Additional responsibilities may include properly packing goods, seals, labels, and affixes packing list to prepare shipments for shipping, by using work devices, operating equipment, and utilizing scanners and carrier systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Shipment Receiving

· Unload, segregate, and label goods upon arrival while referencing the packing list

· Responsible for confirming correct contents of each inbound shipment. Verifying physical cargo against PKL/CIV.

· Reporting any discrepancies, damages, or anomalies

· Put-away freight from putaway sheet in location utilizing forklifts and the scanner

· Transferring built freight to the staging area

· Responsible for correct signature/date/time on inbound documents of all inbound shipments including unload start and end time, and dock door

· Responsible for taking and sending photos of shipments, when required, to the CSE team. Additionally, ensuring that the CSE team clearly understand which shipment the photos belong to by referencing GLCD W file number.

Documentation Handling

· Ensuring the proper handling of the BOLs, DRC, Packing Lists and Labels

· Ensuring the BOLs, DRCs, Packing Lists and labels are matched up accurately to the proper shipment

· Responsible for ensuring correctly signed shipping documents accompany all inbound and outbound shipments.

· Ensuring the accurate number of boxes and/or pallets are acknowledged on the shipping documents by the driver and by GLC.

· Responsible for uploading the completed documents to the CE team immediately after the shipment is handled

· Ensuring that shipments received are handled with care and not damaged during receiving, put-away, staging or transload process.

· Proper shrink wrapped and prepared for transit

· Proper pallet size and loaded properly.

· Keeping the area clean and organized to include the outside receiving area for docks

· Organizing the Receiving area to be effectively arranged on a day to day basis

Picking and Building Responsibilities

· Ensure equipment is operated in a safe manner while driving and on the floor.

· Pick stored freight using pick ticket and scanner with accuracy

· Ensuring goods picked on the same pick ticket are communicated to the building team in unity

· Ensuring pick ticket is complete or reassigned to other personnel before moving onto the next task

· Assist in Order Building and help develop a process for bulk picking.

· Signing off on pick ticket once complete

· Ensuring the special instructions were reviewed and that the order is built to specific requirements

· Ensure all orders are palletized safely and logically

· Ensuring Pick Ticket is brought to the QC area

· Ensuring dims & weights are uploaded and sent to CE Team

Inventory Responsibilities

· Perform, audit, and analyze cycle counts

· Manages and assists the Put Away and Picking processes.

· Learn our WMS as a super user.

· Provides feedback to management on accuracy levels, procedure problems, and recommends corrective actions.

· Other duties as assigned by management.

· Maintains database and performs physical count of inventory.

· Monitors and maintains current inventory levels.

· Processes purchasing orders, (as required) tracks orders, and investigates problems.

· Ensure a safe working environment.

· Complete projects and assignments on time.

· Operate reach truck, as required.

· Operate a forklift, as required.

· Demonstrates the ability to use the RF Scanner, Label Printer, and Forklift Equipment (Reach Truck, Order Picker, Sit Down Forklift, and Electric Pallet Jack).

· Ability to perform cycle counts, assisting with physical inventory, and identify discrepancies of inventory through research.

· Sustaining an accuracy of 100% for dock receipts, put away, refresh, loading and unloading of trailers.

Shipping Responsibilities

· Ensuring freight matches shipping documents

· QC pallet quantity during load out

· Documents uploaded to WMS

· Ensuring label and routing requirements are fulfilled

· Paying attention to Special Instructions

· Verify shipping quantities and label accuracy to include the PO, SKU, carton and pallet count indicated on the order

· Ensuring goods are safely loaded into truck

· Ensuring no shipping documents are signed until the order is fully loaded into the truck

Additional Responsibilities

· Demonstrates the ability to use the RF Scanner.

· Ability to work accurately with interruptions and meet deadlines at the end of the day.

· Ability to work in a fast-spaced environment on any given day and maintain company expectations through performance.

· Proactively accepts additional duties and responsibilities as directed by management.

· Ability to initiate required reports and documentation to facilitate accurate productivity reports.

· Performs complex work assignments and related duties as required or assigned.

· Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

· Must adapt to changes in workload requirements as business dictates.

· Primary job functions will require exercising independent judgment on a daily basis.

Successful Candidates Must Demonstrate the Following Abilities:

· 2 years of warehouse experience

· Forklift Certified (preferred)

· Ability to produce accurate reports

· Able to use a computer and other office technology

· Knowledgeable of inventory software

· Proven experience as reach / lift driver or other warehouse position

· Experience or license in handling forklifts, pallets jacks and other warehouse equipment

· Experience in voice picking systems or RF devices

· Able to lift up to 60 pounds

· Able to stand and bend for long periods of time in a warehouse environment

· Proactively accepts additional duties and responsibilities as directed by management.

· Ability to initiate required reports, information, and documentation to facilitate accurate productivity reports.

· Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

· Occasional shift flexibility and occasional overtime.

· Must adapt to changes in workload requirements as business dictates.
